Italy

Italy is a country where ancient history, world-famous cuisine and spectacular landscapes come together to create one of the world’s most captivating destinations. From Roman ruins and Renaissance masterpieces to rolling vineyards, dramatic mountains and stunning Mediterranean coastlines, every region offers something unique.

  • Italy’s regions each have their own distinct traditions, cuisine and cultural identity, making every part of the country feel unique. Try some of the lesser known regions such as Pulia in the boot or Emilia-Romagna in the North, home to Bologna.
  • There is an extensive network on Ryanair to many different destinations, opening up the country like never before.
  • Many historic centres are best explored on foot, so comfortable footwear is highly recommended.
  • Popular attractions such as the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums and Florence’s Uffizi Gallery often require advance booking, particularly during peak travel seasons. Definitely arrive early to avoid the major queues!
  • Sicily is a destination all on its own and should be explored outside of the scorching summer heat.
