Netherlands

The Netherlands is one of Europe’s most distinctive countries, where historic cities, picturesque canals, colourful flower fields and expansive coastlines combine to create a truly unique destination. Renowned for its cycling culture, artistic heritage and innovative water management, the Netherlands offers an extraordinary blend of history, culture and modern living.

  • Cycling is an integral part of daily life in the Netherlands, so always be aware of dedicated cycle lanes when walking through towns and cities.
  • The Netherlands has an excellent public transport network, making trains one of the quickest and most convenient ways to travel between major cities.
  • Although much of the country is relatively flat, the weather can change quickly, so carrying a light waterproof jacket is recommended throughout the year.
  • Excellent to catch in conjunction with other countries. If you base yourself in Masstricht, which is beautiful in its own right, you are on the doorstep of Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg!
